Letters from Our Fellowship and Readers

FROM OUR MAILBOX

From England, CART’s Spring Newsletter reports: Containers sent to Africa so far this year: Sierra Leone, Liberia, Nigeria, and Zimbabwe. CART also works very hard to support projects that have a lasting effect on the people of Africa and India such as tree planting projects - fruit and firewood saplings.  The aim is to support and utilize existing nursery suppliers and expertise to set up the projects. Is it a good idea? Yes, according to responses from the consignees in Uganda, Malawi, and Ghana. A quote from a recent letter from our consignee Dr. Vedha in Tamil Nadu State, India: “We have already distributed to 3 different points. The benefactors were very happy to have Aqua-boxes (for water purifying) and relief goods. We distributed to 200 volunteers, poor bible women, evangelists and social workers on 27th December. All the above mentioned people are living below the poverty level. They do not have any income financial resources. Poor agricultural laborers from rural villages received relief goods and aqua-boxes on 30th December and poor people in other villages on following days.”

(CMF Editor: Shipping costs per container have been 3600 British Pounds ($7,120 USD) or more depending on the country. Donations to CART’s various projects to help the poor in these countries can be sent to: CART, PO Box 554, Huddersfield, HD1 9ZQ, England.)

From S. India, M. Samson Raju writes: I am thankful and grateful for the cooperation and blessing that CMF is to my humble work in the garden of God Almighty. I am continuing the Lord’s work in weekly worship, preaching and teaching God’ word. I am also conducting two of CMF’s Bible Correspondence Courses. I received your tract, “The Master’s Simple, Yet Complete Plan.” I want to tell you that this tract’s message has helped me in the church and in Gospel campaigns. Many are asking for this tract in their mother tongue, Telugu to help them better understand the Word of God. Its truth will help many understand the secrets of God’s plan and the 1000 year Millennial Kingdom and it will help many to accept Christ Jesus as their Lord and Saviour. We are praying that this will be possible with the help of CMF. I thank you for the 27 magazines. We were pleased to read the subject, “United We Stand, Divided we Fall.”  I preached this message last Sunday at church and God was glorified…I am pleased to send you the 80 names of those who have successfully completed the Ransom and Advanced Bible Correspondence Courses.  We are praying for you and your wonderful service in the Name of Jesus, the Lord of lords and King of kings.

From South India, Dr. W. S. Vedha writes: We are very glad to have communication with you. CART has extended support with container goods every year since you recommended us. The goods are very useful to our believers, poor widows, agricultural workers, hill tribes and tea plantation workers. Our Bible Correspondence Course is going smoothly and bearing much fruit. This course is very useful to unbelievers and other Christians. We have shared the course material with other ministers and other denominational leaders. By this means, we are spreading the faith to many. We have been praying for several years to start an orphan home for the poor. Kindly introduce interested sponsors to us. We have a place to run it, but need clothing, food and school supplies. May God bless you.

If anyone is interested in sponsoring this effort, his address is:

PO Box 54. Pollachi Town, India 642001.

FROM OUR EMAIL

From Madurai, India, Rev. Charls writes: We have received your booklets and found them very wonderful. I am personally very thankful to you for sending them. I want to support your Bible Correspondence Course. If you would send me a complete course I probably could send copies to ten students every month. I will bear the postage. At present, we can only support your ministry in this way since our funds are limited to assist you in a big way.

From Kitwe, Zambia, Africa Emmanuel Chisanga writes: I would like to take your theological course. I am 33 years old. I am also a prisoner incarcerated for 15 years. I have been introduced to you by a friend who is one of your old students. I am very thirsty for the word of God and, as such, I would be delighted to develop my ministry through your free Bible correspondence course. Wilson Ngulube preached to me. I was touched and came to my senses that I should apply to be one of your students. I, therefore, humbly request that you kindly consider my request and sympathetically grant it. Your favorable response will be highly appreciated. Yours faithfully.
