THE
CHILDREN’S STORY CORNER:
No More
I said awhile back that I would tell you more
about why God has permitted evil which I’ll now do!
Our
All-Loving and All-Wise God knows the end from the beginning with all
things. He knew Adam would fail the test
in the Garden of Eden by eating of the fruit of the tree which He had forbidden
him to
eat. God also knew the world needed to
learn the terrible results that sin and disobedience to Him would bring so they
would want to choose to obey and be happy forever.
Since
He had created man with the intent to live forever and rule the earth, man had
to learn what disobedience would bring. To
live forever would only be possible if man would choose to live a life of obedience
to his Creator. Having learned what sin brings, he would want to choose to do
what was right in God’s kingdom. One of His many promises of that kingdom is
found in Rev. 21:1-4. “Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth…and
God will wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death,
neither sorrow nor crying, or any more
pain; for the former things are passed away.”
We
are learning during this life how sin and disobedience only brings tears,
sadness and finally death for every one. But we are also told in God’s Word
that God so loved the world that He sent His beloved Son, our loving Lord and
Savior, Jesus Christ, to pay the penalty
for our sins, so sin and death will no
longer harm us.
Because
of our painful experience with sin and what it brings in this life, man will have
learned to choose to obey God in His Kingdom.
To help man at that time, Jesus and His bride will teach the world about
God and His wonderful plan to bless everyone and show them how to make the best
choices. They will help mankind to live forever
and enjoy all the blessings that God has for them at that time. Yes! God has a
surprise party for the world! Read 1 Corinthians
2:9.
Think
how wonderful it will be to be able to talk with people that have lived in the
past, people you have read about in your Bible. There will be no end to the
good things God has for His children to learn and this will be forever and ever! What a great God we have!
