Letters from Our Fellowship                                             and Readers

A Note from CMF’s President

Since our inventory was getting low on many of the CMF booklets, we decided to try to have half the booklets reprinted. The problem was that even this would cost something in the area of $3500.00 and it would make a big dent in our already small treasury balance.  Therefore, we decided to delay the decision to reprint them for at least for a month. We prayed for wisdom in making a proper decision. Later, in talking with a sister in the Lord at a recent memorial service, she asked how CMF was doing financially. After some hesitation on my part, I told her of the need for reprinting booklets at the approximate cost of $3500.00, and how we didn’t know if CMF could afford it at this time. This sister’s immediate response was, “We will see what we can do.” About a week later, I received two checks in the mail – one for $2500.00 from her and the other for $1000.00 from her sister. Our prayers answered!  May the Lord bless them richly for their generosity and willingness to help us share the Word of God with many all over the world who are seeking and thirsting to know God and the Lord Jesus Christ. We still have the need to reprint the other half of booklets, (but, not so urgently needed) and perhaps the Lord will provide us with another miracle. The Lord is indeed Jehovah-Jireh!

FROM OUR MAILBOX:

From Guayana, S. America, Sherry Young Writes:

My Brothers and Sisters in Christ, It is so good to greet you all again in the blessed Name of our Lord Jesus, our Redeemer and Friend.  I’ll take this opportunity to say thank God for the “cherished work” CMF Ministries is doing worldwide and may your every effort continue to find favor in His eyes.  Personally, I feel so blessed to have the privilege to grow spiritually through CMF Bible courses and The New Creation Magazine. Special thanks to all of you who make this possible. As always, it is my blessed privilege to add my monetary gifts from time to time to your ministry, with appreciation and thanksgiving. May God continue to bless and keep us all.

From Kabwe, Zambia, James A. Mutale writes:

Wonderful greetings to you in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Name that is above every other name in heaven and on earth. May I take this great opportunity to introduce myself to you.    I am 33, married with two children, both boys. I am serving a 20 year sentence in the Karwe maximum Security Prison. This is my 7th year. I have written this letter to request if possible that you could correspond with me in sharing the Word of God. If this is not possible, please circulate my letter within your circle of friends. I am really in need of encouragement and support during my struggle against society’s rejection and isolation under this long and severe incarceration. I am really at the bottom of the abyss of despair. Being a Christian in prison is not easy. It is a stronghold of the devil. It is full of evil. I have many ups and downs and to overcome all these trials one needs spiritual giants who can give me direction and encouragement whenever I am confronted by the devil. Please, if there is anyone of your acquaintance who would be willing to know more about me, they could contact me at this address:  Maximum Security Prison, P.O. Box 80915, Kabwe, Zambia, C. Africa.

From Ndola, Zambia, Charlie Ngoma writes:

I send you my warm greetings in the Name of the Father and our only Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. It is a great joy that I write my first letter to you in my own capacity. I am no longer in the maximum prison. As you already know my name and may not be willing to know more than on issues pertaining to the Millennial Bible correspondence  courses; but however, I am 29 years old as of July 5th. I was married, and blessed by one baby boy who is 6 years old now. The mother of my child married a year after my conviction in 2003 and surrendered my boy to my father in 2004 to avoid inconvenience in their marriage. On the 5th of March I was moved from Kalawe to this prison. I appeared in the Supreme Court on the 7th of March for my final judgment. I was on reserve judgment for 9 months. The initial sentence that I was given in the High Court by the trial judge was 20 years for two counts of aggravated robbery of company vehicles. The 20 year sentence was changed to 15 by the Supreme Court. I have now 6 more years remaining to finish this jail term.  While in prison I suffered from TB and tested positive for HIV. My biggest anticipation on my health is to meet someone who has been given the gift of healing by our Father in heaven, so that person can pray for me and be healed because I strongly believe this can happen in the Name of Jesus.

I am so proud of my father because he forgave me for all the disgrace that I caused him after wasting a lot of his money on my education and especially that he tried to dedicate me to God since my childhood for he is a Christian. But, I decided to go my own way, which led me to this horrible place I am in now.  I appreciate his encouragement even though it has been very difficult for him to come to visit me due to financial incapability. He has also accepted my health status and always prays for me.

I knew God while I was on the outside, but I was not born-again. I was not baptized by the Spirit and by water until in prison when I made my final decision to answer God’s calling in Jesus as my Lord and Savior. This has been the greatest achievement ever in my life. I am so glad that James (see above letter) introduced me to CMF for my correspondence courses. Your friend in Christ.

(Editor’s note: If the Lord lays it upon your heart  to write and encourage this brother, his address is Kansenshi State Prison, P.O. Box 70332, Ndola, Zambia, C. Africa.)

FROM OUR E-MAIL:

From Malawi, Africa, Wyson Palibendipo writes:

Greetings to all of you in the Name of our LORD, and our ever loving Lord, Jesus Christ.  We had a discipling follow-up where most people gave good testimonies of growing spiritually. Hard work is going on in Chimula Village in teaching new converts how to grow spiritually. We held open air meetings in Kauma and also in Bvululu Village. Samson Zambia preached the good news in these villages. A great time was had by all in praising the Lord, in praying and in hymn singing. We distributed tracts to 106 people who surrendered their hearts to the Lord Jesus Christ. One woman thanked the Lord for His mercy in sending a preacher to her village. She was a sinner; not caring for her husband and children. She was always at the beer hall drinking. After hearing the Word of God, she surrendered her life totally to the Lord Jesus Christ. She said, ”I am excited because God has touched my heart. I was a drinker and did not care for my family, but today I found very deep spiritual insight into my heart and felt so blessed. I will never be the same.” Yours in Christ,

From S. India, Pastor G. Dorababu writes: Dear brother in Christ. I would like to introduce myself. I am working among the Hindu people and it is my desire that you and your church members pray for my ministry. My desire is always to bring the knowledge of Christ to perishing souls. I sometimes receive beatings from anti-Christian groups just because I preach the Gospel in my society. I have decided not to get discouraged because I believe that God will have a reward for me from the Lord Jesus Christ. Even though we are little in number, we are not little in faith. We want to pray for you, your family and your church family. May God bless you abundantly. My email is budforchrist@yahoo.co.in.
